Principal regularities of the hydrochemical regime of Lake Kuchuk are established. An algorithm is suggested for the thermodynamic modeling of hydrochemical processes involving highly mineralized water. The algorithm is applied to calculate physicochemical conditions of salt formation in Lake Kuchuk. © 1996 MAHK Hayka/Interperiodica Publishing.
