N2 - An analysis of subbarrier nuclear fusion reactions in a wide range of masses was done within the framework of an approach using a square-well model with a complex potential. Based on the obtained results, a model for modifying the astrophysical S-factor was presented. This approach provides a practical framework for comparing heavy-ion reaction cross sections at low energies.
