Lego Mindstorms NXT provides an environment for exciting creative collaboration of teachers and students in control education. In the paper the results of a joint project aimed at organizing such a collaboration involving undergraduate students of St.Petersburg State University and high school students of St.Petersburg Phys&Math Lyceum #239 are presented. The goal of the project is to create a complex of robotics and mechatronics networked devices (mobile robots, carts, pendulum systems, segways, etc) for application both in universities and in high schools. An interesting and important task is design and testing of proportional, integral and differential controllers. The ideas coming from cooperative work of high school and university students allowed to develop elementary approaches to teaching basics of control theory.
