The possibilities of using a new class of spectral apparatus (video spectrometer) for determining atmospheric concentrations of BrO, ClO, OClO, NO3, O4, and SO2 are analyzed. It is shown that using a video spectrometer for measuring the atmospheric transmission on tangential paths makes it possible to obtain, together with information about the content of components such as O3 and NO2, additional data on the vertical profiles of BrO, OClO, NO3, and O4 contents. -Authors
