Structures of cis-C,C-[M(bt)2hbt] [M = Rh(III) or Ir(III)] and trans-N,N-[M(bt)hbt] [M = Pd(II) or Pt(II)] complexes with C,N-metallated 2-phenylbenzothiazole and N,O-chelating 2-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)-phenol in crystalline form as well as in CDCl3 solution have been elucidated by means of X-ray diffraction analysis and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
