This paper examines the instrumental work of Abel Korzeniowski "Stillness of the mind", which became the main soundtrack to the movie “A Single Man” by Tom Ford. “A Single Man” is a film about the isolation and inability of the characters to connect with the outside world, which is reflected in the deep loneliness of their lives. Music plays an extremely important role in this sense, working, on the one hand, to dramatically emphasize the static status of pain (the name Korzeniowski chose for the most important soundtrack, “Stillness of the Mind”, is a clear indication of this), and on the other - to emphasize the aesthetic beauty of the picture.
