The stabilization problem of oscillations for a pendulum with the controlled suspension point is solved on the basis of the velocity gradient method. The control of the system is realized by varying the vertical acceleration of the suspension point. A stabilization algorithm of oscillations on a given energy level is constructed, and conditions for attainment of the goal in the control system are proved. The rate of the convergence of processes in the system is studied via computer simulation.
