Mineral carbon sorbents based on KSK-2 silica gel (460 m2 g-1 specific surface area, 12-15 nm pore size) were obtained by catalytic pyrolysis. Sorption properties of the sorbents were investigated with respect to organochlorine pesticides (e.g., Lindane) and phenol.
