The Passivity equation is the main necessary condition of passivity and passivibility of nonlinear control system. The paper presents necessary and sufficient conditions of its solvability with respect to some nonnegative storage function. These results can be a base for further investigations on passivibility of control systems; besides they have applications in Adaptive Control.
