Nanodispersed layered perovskite-like ferrites GdSrFeO 4 and Gd 2SrFe 2O 7 have been synthesized for the first time in accordance with the sol-gel technology using the citrate-nitrate technique. The citrate-nitrate and glycine-nitrate techniques of the synthesis of a complex oxide GdFeO 3 with a three-dimensional perovskite structure have been optimized. The decrease of the ferrite particle size from 10 μm in the case of the solid-phase high-temperature synthesis to 50-200 nm in the case of the sol-gel technology has been demonstrated.
