From the end of 1990s, the majority of migrants were for labor from Central Asia. The chapter focuses on social problems of international migration in terms of analysis of social risks not only for immigrants and but also for host communities along the concept of social risk and the typology of international migration in Russia. Data collected from two related telephone surveys on public opinion concerning social problems of international migration and migration policy are utilized in the study comprising a total of 3674 respondents interviewed from 15 regions in the country. The results of the study are divided into three sections: patterns of migration and associated social problems; factors influencing international; and prevention of social risks of international migration. Overall, this research emphasizes the complexity of international migration in Russia demonstrating unique features and patterns.",
