In the paper, the Simple Adaptive Control scheme based on the implicit reference model and the passification theorem is designed for active suppressing the airfoil flutter. This approach leads to low-order adaptation algorithms despite that the plant model order may be high. Another merit of such a kind of adaptive controllers is a possibility of using them for solving the stabilization problems, when the reference signal is zero. The simulation results are presented to demonstrate efficiency and robustness of the proposed adaptive controller.
