N2 - Glaciers of the little-studied Shapshal Glaciation Center in Eastern Altai during the Little Ice Age maximum have been reconstructed and the pattern of their subsequent reduction has been analyzed. The shrinkage of the largest glacier on the Shapshal Ridge has been considered in detail based on five time slices from 1955 to 2019. The mass balance index of the glacier and time of its climate response have been calculated.
