N2 - The first decade of the 21st century was marked by a rather radical and important transformations in sexual culture at the level of everyday practices, normative base and political discourse about sexuality, both in Europe and in Russia. This is largely due to political changes and peculiarities of in these regions. The sphere of politics always had a significant influence on the formation and reproduction of the sexual culture of society through political and legal institutions and mechanisms which actions are largely determined by the type of political regime and kind of state structure. To understand the characteristics and identify key trends and problems of development of various aspects of the sphere of sexuality in modern Europe and Russia, we conducted a study aimed to reveal the content, structure, specificity of formation and promotion, as well as the social and cultural consequences of the sexual political agenda.
