Records on the solar activity in the distant past provide an important information on the eventual crucial changes in the physical parameters of the solar activity during the so-called Grand-minima. In this work we present the state of art of the sunspot activity reconstruction from historical observations by Galilei, Harriot, Scheiner, Gassendi, and Hevelius from 1610 to 1644. Behaviour of the butterfly diagram, sunspot areas and numbers, differential rotation, quality of observations are analysed and compared to the modern ones.
