The quantum confinement in CuCl nanocrystals is theoretically calculated under the assumption that nanocrystals have a hollow core. A comparison of the theoretical results with the experimental data indicates the existence of two size ranges so that all nanocrystals corresponding to one range involve an internal vacuum pore and all nanocrystals with sizes in the other range are monolithic.
