Recently, Internet commerce has developed in world practice. It is carried out through the online platform, on the basis of which it is possible to buy freely goods and services, place orders and pay for them. In recent years, the Internet market has been successfully developing in the Russian Federation. The number of users in the country is more than 90 million people, 9 out of 10 residents have already made at least one purchase via the Internet. Internet commerce in Russia appeared in 1996 and is increasing every year. The following e-commerce models can be distinguished: B2B Business to Business; B2C Business to Consumer; B2G Business to Government) - commercial relations between business and government; C2C Consumer to Consumer. Internet commerce has got a positive economic impact, promotes competition, and creates new jobs. E-commerce in Russia is developing rapidly and in the near future may reach the level of the world leading countries. But there are a few obstacles: the lack of clear terminological formulations and official statistics connected with e-commerce, not a clear legislative framework. Some work should be done to study the global experience of e-commerce and its use in Russia.
