N2 - Principles of physical-geographical regionalization of Arctic shelf are discussed on example of the Kara Sea. Landscape-forming role of basic components is analyzed to elaborate the common system of units using by such subdivision. Hydrologic and lithologic links bearing the most ecological charge determine functions of marine ecosystem and constitute the third link in this hierarchy.
