The article examines the problem of changing cultural, social and educational factors influencing the processes of professional self-determination of adolescents. The author refers to the concept of "professional self-determination", showing that career guidance is a social and pedagogical tool for working with schoolchildren in this aspect. The method of comprehensive support of adolescents in the process of professional self-determination is indicated as the leading method in the systemic approach to career guidance work.
