This article analyzes the problems of polydispersity in electro-optics. It examines the application of the regularisation technique in order to determine distribution functions of colloidal particles and macromolecules on electric dipole moments, on polarisability anisotropy values, and on rotary friction coefficients. It also includes two additions to the regularisation technique. Copyright (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
