Tulchinskii{\textquoteright}s article Political Context of Narration with Karl Marx{\textquoteright}s Wert-terminology: Cost vs Value (Polis. Political Studies. 2019 No. 3). In this article, a number of characteristic trends that arose in Russian political science at the post-communist stage of its development are very clearly revealed. The key focus of the author{\textquoteright}s argumentation is a radical contrast between the value and cost traditions of the analysis of the text of “Capital” and the economic theory of Marx. On the contrary, modern works devoted to the knowledge economy and intellectual capital testify to the tendency towards creative interaction and mutual enrichment of both analytical paradigms, devoid of academic dogmatism. In this regard, in the author{\textquoteright}s opinion, Tulchinsky{\textquoteright}s ideological approach to the problem of values in Marxism at the present time is hardly capable of overcoming its traditional economical and ethical interpretations, examples of which are given in this article.",
