The article deals with the history of the journal "Records of psychology, criminal anthropology and hypnotism" edited by V.M. Bekhterev and VS. Serebrennikov from 1901 to 1919, analyzing its development, providing a list of the articles published, illustrating the process of registering the publication (the authors provide the correspondence between the editors and the State department of the press about allowing the publication and approving the program for 1903). The authors conclude that the journal played a unique role in the process of instutionalizing psychology in the first quarter of the XX century.
