The asymptotic behavior of collision induced line shift values in rotational spectra of HF in Ar gas was studied. This asymptotic behavior can be caused by the neglect of non-rigidity of the HF molecule. This effect can lead to a correlation between rotational and vibrational motions, and can cause the dependence of rotational line shifts on collision induced vibrational perturbations.
