The article covers some possible ways of breaking out the hesitation impasse, which is very common in colloquial speech. Spontaneous speech implies some time deficit: a speaker speaks and thinks simultaneously. So some specific items appear inevitably, such as hobbles, slips, repetitions, self-correction, hesitation and so on. All these features enlighten the very mechanism of speech production.
