N2 - A highly nonequilibrium kinetics of a radiative one-dimensional CO flow behind a plane shock wave was analyzed. A state-to-state kinetic model was developed taking into account the coupling of vibrational relaxation, radiation and chemical reactions. The model was extended to take into account vibration-electronic (VE) energy transfers as well as radiative transitions from electronically excited states. The effect of various energy transfers on radiation intensity and macroscopic flow parameters was also discussed. The rates of vibrational transitions and dissociations were considered using different models.
