An unusually fast variation in the spectra of the Be X-ray binary star X Per are analyzed. Regular Hα line profile variations (LPVs) with a period 844±23 second corresponding to the rotation period of the Be star's companion, a neutron star, are detected. The periodic changes of the stellar radial velocities with same period are also registered
