The author of the article believes that the concept of corporeality becomes often used in the Turkish literature in the last quarter of the 20th century. The works, which Turkish researchers call the “March 12” novels and the “September 12” novels, highlight the issue of pain and pleasure which were previously considered non-literary. The main character of Nedim Gursel’s novel finds a way of self-identification in sexual pleasure.
