N2 - Motivation of a healthy lifestyle is one of the key tasks in the area of demographic, socio-economic, scientific and technological development. Despite numerous works on the problem of a healthy lifestyle, the issue of ensuring its motivation remains insufficiently studied. The theoretical and methodological foundations of psychological support of motivation for a healthy lifestyle of modern youth from 14 to 30 years, namely senior pupils (9-11 grades), students of secondary special and higher education institutions, young specialists are considered in the paper.The basis of the research methodology is: Deci and Ryan's self-determination theory (in particular, Basic Psychological Needs Theory and Goal Contents Theory), the concept of psychological support for professional activity by G.S. Nikiforov and the theory of motivational potential by V. Dominyak. The study of motivation for a healthy lifestyle consists of 3 stages: 1. study of the motivation and value components of a healthy lifestyle of modern youth; 2. study of implicit attitude to a healthy lifestyle; 3. development of an integrated model of motivation for a healthy lifestyle of modern youth from 14 to 30 years.
