An investigation of solids formed by surface chemical reaction of OH-silica groups with iron diacetylacetonato chloride (C 5 H 7 O 2 ) 2 FeCl was presented. The investigation was done using Mössbauer and magneto-chemical studies. The formation of iron-organic groups on SiO 2 surface was reported from the reaction of iron (III) acetylacetonate with silica surface OH groups.
