N2 - Abstract: The work is devoted to simulating the process of basal melt of the Antarctic ice sheet. A numerical model based on the one-dimensional three-phase Stefan problem was developed. A parallel algorithm was implemented. As a result of the simulation, a distribution of basal melt rates was obtained with the glacier’s average mass loss rate being 29 Gt/yr.
