N2 - In this paper the influence of high pressure torsion (HPT) on the structure of Mg-Zn- Ca alloy is studied. The microstructure before and after HPT and after additional annealing has been studied by the scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results of microhardness measurements and tensile tests of HPT samples are discussed.
