According to the analysis of NMR kinetic data, the proton transfer from the CH-acid 2-nitrohexafluoropropane to trioctylamine occurs in a hydrogen-bonded complex. The value of the kH/kD ratio (≯6) and the linearity of the ln k vs. T-1 dependence indicate a classical mechanism of the process. © 1981 Akadémiai Kiadó.
