Stable polychrome marking on glass products is a highly demanded operation in industry. In this work indirect laser processing for polychrome marking of glass in the acceptor–donor (back laser-induced film transfer) scheme is demonstrated for the first time. The glass color marking was performed by a widespread industrial laser marker in conjunction with a brass alloy L63 plate. With such a scheme we provided four colors using a single donor material. Raman and SEM analysis showed evidence of Cu and Zn oxides and brass nanoparticles after the marking process, which are responsible for color formation. Furthermore, application of colored QR codes consisting of 30 μm-sized elements was demonstrated.
