The article deals with the category of evaluation in Spanish phraseologisms and its correlation with the types of axiological norms. An evaluation of an object takes place in accordance
to the prototypical and homeostatic norms. Besides, each type of evaluation (general, aesthetical, intellectual, ethical etc.) corresponds to a combination of different norms. The proper
norms have little reflection in evaluating phraseologisms because the ranking scale normally captures abnormal facts, principally negative ones. Modeling of evaluating phraseologisms is also connected to the violation of the language norm - the lexical semantic norm which is reflected in the facts of semantic discordance, in the absence of semantic concordance and in
the exterior semantic concordance. Semantic, contextual and linguistic-pragmatic methods of analysis were used in the research.
