Methods are suggested for locating jumps in a function and determining the size of jumps in the function and its derivatives by using the Laplace transform of the function. The methods are based on highest accuracy quadrature formulas used for Laplace transform inversion and on the Widder method. Since the Widder method converges slowly, algorithms accelerating its convergence are pointed out.
