The article is devoted to the problem of periodization of Borges’ poetic work.Quantitative analysis demonstrates that Borges’ corpus of poetry can be divided into three periods. The hypothesis is proved at the level ofmorphology, semantics and poetic forms. The study uses tools such as Stanza morphoanalyser and BERTopic. The obtained data allowed to define the formal, morphological and semantic characteristics of the poetic work of Borges. Besides, the author proposes to consider attributing the poetic works of Borges to three periods, instead of one or two, namely: the avant-garde, or the ultraist (1920–30s), the conservative (volumes of 1960–70s) and the synthetic (1980s).
