The one-dimensional stacking disorder in the structure of a Ba-behenate multibilayer film prepared by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique was studied by X-ray diffraction pattern simulation. The theory of X-ray diffraction by disordered lamellar structures was used for intensity calculations. The formation of an irregular mixed-layer structure, consisting of layers with different heights and different Ba contents, was demonstrated.
