Abstract: The currently available experimental data on the excitation functions for (p, n) reactions for 40 < A < 239 nuclei are analyzed. The proposed systematics includes three sections of the excitation function: equilibrium and two intervals covering pre-equilibrium processes. This allows the use of different parametrizations to obtain a closer fit between the predictions of the systematics and experimental data.
