The chronic is devoted to the results of the International scientific and practical conference “The World in Pictures and Phraseology” which took place at Charles University in Prague. The main problems which were considered at a conference are presented, the thematic field of the scientific discussion which took place within the conference is characterized. Special attention is paid to the sections “Phraseology in New and Traditional Media” and “Phraseology and Discourse” within which the functioning of the phraseological units in a public discourse was considered. The performances of participants are summarized.
