The interaction between two impurities with incomplete inner (d) shells in non-magnetic metals is studied on the basis of the Anderson model. The expression for the d-electron Green function with unlimited Coulomb repulsion U is calculated. The correlation effects on the impurity atoms are taken into account but the interaction of electrons localized on different atoms is calculated in the Hartree-Fock approximation. It is shown that in the Kondo limit the density of states at the Fermi level oscillates with changing the distance between the impurities. © 1992.
