Annual series of hourly measurements of currents at 10 buoy stations operating in the Chukchi Sea and Bering Strait from September 1990 to September 1991 are analyzed. Based on statistical methods of analysis of stochastic and deterministic vector processes, comparative contributions of seasonal, synoptic, long-period tidal, and mesoscale (tidal and nontidal) currents to their total variance and maximum velocities of these currents are assessed.
