The influence of the geometry of cylindrical samples and the material structure (coarse and fine-
grained) on Al-6101 behavior under static loading at room temperature was investigated in this work. It
was shown that the strength of the material increases with a decrease in the grain size, as well as that
samples with a narrower working section turn out to be the least ductile, but represent a higher strength.
This study provides a more complete description of the fracture process for a given material.
