A set of spectrum-temporal filters is synthesized using the methods of generalized variational calculus. The filters consist of an input process multiplier by the known reference voltage and a steady filter connected behind that. It is shown that the correlation reception and matched filtering are particular limiting cases of the spectrum-temporal filter. The spectrum-temporal filter operation is explained with the help of properties of the spectrum correlation function.
