A high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) was used to characterize a Cu/ZrO2 catalyst. HRTEM images with a pixel size of 0.044 nm were taken at the magnification of 1083000 × with a CCD camera and Fourier-transformed to obtain the power spectra (PS). The observed patterns were compared to those calculated from the crystal structures stored in the ICSD. The evidence of the formation of a new perovskite-like oxide was reported.
