N2 - The report presents the characteristics and spatial distribution of dangerous geological processes on the shelf, continental slope and in the near-slope area of the World Ocean in the Far East, within the economic zone of the Russian Federation. A classification of these processes is given, their attributes and methods of study are characterized, as well as their contribution to the formation of the modern appearance of the seabed and the distribution of bottom sediments. The issues of creating the Legend of the “Map of dangerous geological processes of the Far Eastern seas” at a scale of 1: 5,000,000 are discussed, and a model of the map itself will be presented. It is emphasized that the creation of such a map for the first time will help to more rationally approach the design of engineering facilities, including for the oil and gas industry, at the bottom of the Far Eastern seas
