A large monorystals from NH4I-KI-H2O solutions was grown via using approaches developed
earlier for growing monocrystals of the (NH4,K)H2PO4 and Na(Br,I). The crystals obtained
had the sizes ranging from 3х3х3 mm to 5х5х5 mm and were investigated using an X-ray
microtomography method. The results of the study confirmed uniform distribution of the
components in the crystal volume and absence of any zonal or sectorial non-uniformity.
Successful production of large (NH4,K)I monocrystals demonstrated good applicability of the
developed approach for producing mixed monocrystals composed of the components having
large differences in their unit cell parameters.
