N2 - Abstract: The Glauber Monte Carlo model for pp collisions at the partonic level is proposed. Several spatial distributions of partons in protons are considered. It is demonstrated that the model allows one to describe the total, inelastic, and elastic scattering cross sections, as well as the diffraction cone slope in a wide energy range (from SPS to LHC). The explicit form of the dependence of the number of initial partons on the collision energy is obtained using the requirements of Lorentz invariance.
