Generalization of the Laplace formula for capillary pressure has proceeded along two directions: extension of the formula to very small objects (where the surface tension has been considered to be isotropic) and allowing for anisotropy in the surface tension (where the radii of curvature have been considered large compared with the thickness of the surface layer). This note connects both directions and generalizes the Laplace formula to be applicable to very small objects with anisotropic surface tension for the condition of mechanical equilibrium on a curved surface.
