N2 - The most complete compilation of rotational bands of odd-odd nuclei with masses 40 ≤ A ≤ 254 has been developed on the basis of the ENSDF 2006 file of evaluated nuclear data. To describe the observed energies of rotational levels, generalization of the variable-moment-of-inertia model, taking into account the signature splitting in the bands with K = 0 and 1, has been proposed. An adequate description of the energy behavior of majority of rotational bands is obtained and systematic behavior of the model parameters in all regions of deformed nuclei is demonstrated. The model description is used to combine fragments of rotational bands, as well as to exclude unnecessary and recover missed energy levels.
