The article presents the comments to the letters of Rozanov to slavists Konstantin Yakovlevich Groth and Vladimir Ivanovich Lamanskii. Letters reveal context of Rozanov activities, in particular his participation in the religious-philosophical meetings in St. Petersburg (1901-1903). They evaluates personality and creativity of the philosopher Nikolai Yakovlevich Grot. The characteristics of the philosophy of Leo Tolstoy, Rozanov made in the articles of N. Ya. Grot. The content of the controversy surrounding religious-philosophical meetings, including their criticisms of V. P. Meshchersky and V. A. Gringmut, which tried polemicize Rozanov. The article is written on the basis of little-known newspaper publications Rozanov beginning of the XX century, and archival materials.
